BOSO Athletics, LLC is a sports performance and development coaching company based in Buffalo, New York, founded by Wan Bruce. We provide personalized athletic development coaching, mental performance tools, game IQ training, and 1-on-1 skill work through our website at bosoathletics.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information

• Full name and email address
• Password (stored in encrypted form, never readable by anyone)
• Grade level and sport

Portal Activity

• Weekly check-in responses (how you are feeling, what is on your mind)
• Progress metrics entered by Coach Bruce (confidence, stress, game IQ scores)
• Messages sent between athletes and Coach Bruce
• Videos watched and tasks completed

Contact and Inquiry Forms

• Name, email, phone number, and message content submitted through our contact, booking, and questionnaire forms

Automatically Collected

• Basic usage data collected by Netlify (our website host) such as page visits and general location. We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or behavioral analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

• Provide and personalize coaching services for each athlete
• Communicate with athletes and parents about sessions, progress, and updates
• Track athlete development over time within the portal
• Respond to inquiries, booking requests, and referrals
• Maintain the security and functionality of the platform

We never sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

BOSO Athletics works with athletes as young as middle school age. We take the protection of minors' data seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• Athletes under the age of 13 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent before creating a portal account. Coach Bruce will confirm this directly with a parent or guardian before onboarding.
• We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent.
• Parents and guardians may request to review, update, or delete their child's information at any time by contacting us at coach@bosoathletics.com.

5. How We Protect Your Data

• Encrypted passwords: All passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption. No one at BOSO can ever read your password.
• Row Level Security (RLS): Each athlete can only access their own data. No athlete can view another athlete's information.
• Secure database: Athlete data is stored on Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified platform with bank-level security standards.
• HTTPS everywhere: All data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted.
• Email confirmation: All new accounts require email verification before access is granted.
• No advertising trackers: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any behavioral advertising tools.

6. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this website:

• Supabase (supabase.com) -- Secure database and authentication. SOC 2 Type II certified.
• Netlify (netlify.com) -- Website hosting and form processing. SOC 2 certified.
• Google Fonts -- Font loading only. No personal data is transmitted.

We do not use any advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or data brokers.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the portal

8. Data Retention

We retain athlete data for as long as the coaching relationship is active. If an athlete or parent requests account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Inactive accounts with no activity for 12 months may be deleted after notice is sent to the registered email address.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we will notify active users by email and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
