Your athlete is making progress.
Here's a high-level look at where things stand this week.
Your role here is to observe, not intervene. The best thing you can do for your athlete's development is let Coach Wan's process work. Avoid discussing these metrics in a way that adds pressure.

This Week's Coach Note
Your athlete is trending in a positive direction. Confidence has improved noticeably over the past two weeks. The focus right now is on decision-making under pressure, specifically learning to read defenders before the catch rather than reacting after. This is a game-changing skill at this level. Encourage them to trust the process and stay consistent with their tools between sessions.
Note from Coach Wan, Week of March 17

The one thing athletes most want from parents after a game
Spoiler: it's not feedback on their performance.
Tip
After a game, lead with: "I love watching you play." Nothing else.
Let your athlete process the experience before any conversation happens.
Tip
Avoid bringing up stats, playing time, or comparisons to other athletes at home.
These conversations, even well-intentioned, increase the pressure BOSO is helping reduce.
Tip
Ask: "How are you feeling about basketball right now?" not "How do you think you played?"
Feelings-based questions open conversations. Performance-based questions close them.
What BOSO Is and Isn't
BOSO is: a performance and development coaching platform. Coach Wan is a basketball performance coach who integrates pre-game reset routines, overthinking interrupt techniques, pressure reframing exercises, and game IQ training into a single personalized program.
BOSO is not: a licensed mental health service, therapy, or clinical counseling. If your athlete is experiencing symptoms that go beyond performance-related stress, including persistent anxiety, depression, or signs of a deeper mental health challenge, BOSO will always refer you to a licensed professional. That referral is part of the BOSO commitment to every athlete.
